In other news, I was rejected in my attempt to book tickets for the Now Show, with the unhelpful message that either my application was wrong or the showing was full. One would have thought that the difference between those two was significant enough to merit different error messages, but apparently not... I think they just want to tempt you into calling their premium rate number.

20. From Phantom of the Opera, Christine's song -- the one that actually is probably called "Phantom of the Opera." :)

#8 is almost like the opening of "The Great Fish-Fingering Disaster." ;)

It took two tries!? :) In my collection, number 8 was actually Niamh Parsons singing "Maid on the Shore", but it's a bit tricky with folk songs!

Any chance I could tempt you along to the Big Session?

I know. I am ashamed of myself especially as Be Lucky is pretty much The Song in my family. Always gets played on car journeys. I think it was the concept in the first line is similar 'We were an hour, the wrong side of the Avon' compared to 'I was seventeen, in a painted caravan'.

Ah, Maid on the Shore must be a trad. song.

I'd be very tempted by Big Session if it wasn't for the fact that I'm so completely broke at the moment. Show of Hands are going to one of my local (to the parent's at least) folk festivals at the end of July so I'll get to see them again there!

I'm already signed up for Cheltenham festival next weekend then Cambridge beginning of July and Folk on the Water end of July. You should come to Cambridge, meet up with you there!
