Aug. 3rd, 2005 07:58 pmSo I'm feeling all virtuous this afternoon, leaving work promptly at 5.30 so that I can go to the gym. Head into college, get to the squash courts (where I leave my exercise kit during the week, so I don't have to haul it back and forth to Headington every other day). Bump into a guy at the door wearing a West Point t-shirt, and think 'Hey, I've got that t-shirt. Guess it must be one of the Americans.' Head downstairs to collect my gym stuff and... the bastard took my shirt! God only knows what was going through his mind - no matter how sweaty your own clothes are, I'd have thought that they'd be preferable to gym clothes found in a changing room - but I'm hoping that for whatever reason he just wanted to borrow it and he'll put it back. I know, I'm an optimist...
Before anyone says - yeah, I did leave them in a changing room, so it's not like walky-belongings couldn't have been predicted. Actually, I'm not all that upset about it. So far I've been doing this (leaving towels and sports kit in the squash courts' changing rooms) for 9 months, and I'm only down a towel and a T-shirt. That seems like a fair trade for the convenience...
