Access for Disabled Scientists
Jun. 2nd, 2005 09:59 amInteresting article here on how technology is making science easier for those with disabilities. I notice, though, that all the examples cited are either involved in theoretical and computational work or are at the supervisory level, so they no longer need to do experimental work. I'd have been interested to hear whether there were any bright ideas about how to make experimental science accessible, if it's even possible! I'd also have been interested to hear how these disabled scientists felt about being disbarred from experiments, which are (this experimentalist feels) the crux of the subject.
